    Rich has been working with the Shearer Automotive Group since the inception of the new company. He has extensive retail automotive experience as well as consulting to major auto dealer groups and manufacturers. Rich is a graduate of La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Vermont to be near his family.

    Dave Lewis was the second generation owner-operator of Lewis Motors, until recently selling the company to the locally owned Shearer Automotive Group.  Dave is a graduate of Norwich University and lives in Charlotte with his wife Karyn, his two children Sarah and Alex, and his dog Otis. 

    Dave is now a partner with his friend Bill Shearer, the new owner, and will work as a Consultant and Special Projects Manager.

    Judy has been married for over 35 years to her husband Steven. Their son Joseph lives with his wife Diane and their three children, Damion, Elizabeth and Jack in South Burlington. Judy's daughter Joanna lives with her husband Ched and their two children Andrew and Emma in Colchester. Judy has been working with Shearer for about 11 1/2 years and adds so much to the dealership. Judy and her daughter own a Jazzercise center in Burlington and Judy has also been a fitness instructor for several years. In Judy's spare time she enjoys reading.

    Mark Benoit has been in the car business in Burlington for well over 25 years, and has been our Acura Sales Manager since the franchise was added here in 1995.  Customers appreciate his soft spoken manner and his aversion to playing "car dealer games" with his customers.  Recently he took on added responsibilities as co-manager of our used car department.  Mark is an excellent golfer, and has traveled extensively throughout Europe.

    Mike recently joined the Shearer Auto Group after serving for many years as the very successful sales manager of a central Vermont Toyota dealership. He is well respected among his peers, and we anticipate he will elevate the level of professionalism within our sales staff to an even higher level.

    Mike currently lives with his wife in Waitsfield, and they have two daughters in College. During the summer they enjoy boating on Lake Champlain.

    Chris has been working here since August 2009 but has been with Shearer Pontiac and Chevrolet for about 5 years. Chris is a native Mainer, born and raised. Best Buy introduced him to Vermont when he Grand Opened the store as a General Manager. Now Chris lives with his wife and their awesome 4 month old daughter. Chris enjoys golfing, basketball and football and traveling all over the world. Chris also served in the Military during Desert Storm.

Steven likes the Boston Red Sox, New England, the Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys. He loves to travel and play Jeopardy! He once won a poker tournament and got an all expense-paid trip to Las Vegas!

    Brian holds an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences with a Major in Automotive Services. He has dedicated his entire professional life of 32 years to the Automotive Service Industry, 25 of them right here at this dealership. Starting out working in the grease pits of the 1970's and progressing his career until he finished as one of the top 5 ranked Audi Technicians in North America, twice! His prime directive is to provide quality auto repair and exemplary customer service. This is accomplished by assembling the finest Technicians, Service Advisors and support staff you will find anywhere. He and his staff welcome any opportunity to show you the high level of service that Shearer Acura and VW/Audi South Burlington can provide. Brian lives in Milton with his wife and two children. He enjoys woodworking, skiing, golf, and fishing. In his spare time Brian repairs pool tables and builds custom pool sticks.

    Dean is truly the "Dean of Shearer Audi/VW," having worked here since 1974.  He started as a mechanic, but for the last 25 years has served as Parts Manager and also as one of our technology managers. Dean grew up and attended school in Burlington. He has one son, and a new granddaughter. His hobbies include photography, golf, old movies and collecting model cars.

    Bob lives in Colchester and has been in the Auto body business for many years. That helps him make sure we have pristine vehicles to sell to our customers. Bob is also the only sales person who can actually dismantle and reassemble any vehicle at this dealership. Bob enjoys to cook, play cards, and help organize his neighborhood pig roast. He also jumps in Lake Champlain for the Penguin Plunge and Special Olympics every year.

    Brad has been working here for about 20 years, his hire date was November 13, 1989. He has been in automotive sales for 23 years, and feels that "German cars are the most fun cars to drive in the world."  Brad has won several awards in recognition of being one of the top Audi sales consultants in the country.  His knowledge of the Audi product line is second to none. Brad grew up in St. Johnsbury, Vermont and graduated from Norwich University in 1975. He now lives in Colchester  with his wife and children. Brad enjoys skiing, sailing, tennis and cooking. He loves craft beer and some day would like to learn how to brew it.

George's first college job was in the automotive industry, then he was employed for thirty years in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry. George moved to Vermont in 1983 and now lives in Stowe with his wife and Bernese Mountain dog and three cats. George has loved cars since he was a child and developed a great passion for them as a teenager working in service stations.

    Seth was born and raised in Vermont and after traveling around the country, he settled back here. Seth currently lives in Starksboro and has three beautiful children. Seth has previously worked in retail to produce delivery to outside sales. He enjoys fishing, hunting, downhill skiing and cross country skiing, and running. Physical fitness is a priority in Seth's life. B.FIT is his motto. A fit body is a fit mind. He tells people to do something everyday, even if it is only a brisk walk.

    OK, so you need to schedule an appointment for your Acura, or you need to ask someone a technical question?  Jay is your man!  Pleasant, and above all patient, Jay is the main reason that the Shearer Acura service department is rated #1 for customer satisfaction in the entire Northeast region. Jay grew up in Ferrisburgh VT, and now lives in Essex Jct. with his wife, cat and dog. In his spare time, Jay enjoys anything having to do with mountain bikes, motorcycles, and video games.

Peter is a crew chief on his brother's race car that races at Thunder Road in Barre, VT and other local race tracks throughout New England and Canada. The've been successful and won several races and championships in 2003. Peter enjoys working on race cars and playing video games online where Josh cheats.

    Jim grew up in Jericho and graduated from Mount Mansfield Union High School in 1985. Jim currently lives in Shelburne. He has three children, his 16 year old son lives in Florida with his mom and an 8 year old son and 3 year old daughter who he adopted in May of 2009. Jim enjoys fishing, riding his motorcycle, and boating with his girlfriend Laurie and their kids. Jim tried out for Jeopardy three years ago and also had a try out with the Cincinnati Reds baseball team in 1985. Jim has been with the dealership for five years.

Eric enjoys playing music, studying martial arts and riding motorcycles. He also plays five instruments, the guitar, piano, drums, bass and saxophone.

    Chris grew up in Nova Scotia, moved to the United States in 1991 and has lived in Europe, Asia and West Africa. He is a former United States Marine and entered the automotive repair business at an independent VW/Audi repair facility in Rockville, Maryland. Chris spends his spare time with his family and enjoys reading fiction and enjoys being outdoors. He joined the VW team in 2004 and was one of the top 14 VW repair technicians in the United States in 2009.

Donna grew up in South Burlington and now lives in St. George with her fiance, Patrick, and their two cats Sammy and Sarah. Donna has a son who will be graduating from UVM this Spring with a Bachelor Degree in Teaching. Donna enjoys spending time with her family, playing cards, long drives and going to the casino.

In her spare time, Katie likes riding horses, laughing, beaches, dancing, cooking, skiing, singing, walking, and playing with animals. Eventually, her plan is to go to school to be a Nurse.

In the past, Scott has worked with a few detail shops, restaurants and in construction, but now is a new member of our great Reconditioning Department! Scott enjoys snowboarding and hanging out with his friends. Scott loves adrenaline thrills so he really wants to go skydiving!
